General
Interdisciplinary study examining the interactions between individuals, society, and culture.
Available in: New South Wales
Society and Culture is a senior ATAR subject exclusive to NSW (HSC Society & Culture). It explores how individuals, cultures, and institutions interact and evolve within society. Students investigate personal, national, and global issues through the lenses of social theory, cultural analysis, and empirical research. A central component of the course is the Personal Interest Project (PIP) — an independent research task that allows students to explore a topic of social relevance in-depth. Modedu provides 1:1 tutoring to help students manage their PIP, master theory-based writing, and prepare for both internal and external assessments.
